The Secret Of The Prophet: Fellowship III

A great number of Christians know that Jesus was crucified and died as our Saviour, but they don’t know about, or understand, our divine fellowship with Him. When we talk about fellowship, what comes to their minds is when we come together in a church meeting to discuss the Word and to praise and worship the Lord.

Fellowship, however, means more than that.

Essentially, our fellowship with the Lord describes our oneness or union with Him; something deeper than an association; such oneness that’s greater than a covenant. You can have a covenant without fellowship. The Lord Jesus brought us into such fellowship with Himself, where He sees Himself in us; He’s never satisfied until we’re satisfied; He derives His joy from our joy. Such blessed relationship! Now we can walk with Him, talk with Him, and live in Him as well as in His Name.

If you’re not living with the consciousness of the full blessings of your divine fellowship with the Lord, you’re missing too much! Become conscious and take advantage of your oneness with the Lord.

Paul, writing to Timothy, said, “…be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 2:1); take advantage of the grace that’s in Christ Jesus. There’s an abundance of grace in Christ Jesus. If only many understood the immensity, infinitude, and unconditional nature of His love for us! We’re to take advantage of His grace and love in our fellowship with Him.

1 John 3:1-2 says, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God….”

You need to know that God truly loves you and take full advantage of His love. When you know, and are convinced of His love for you, it’ll be inconceivable to think He’ll be indifferent to your prayer or not answer you. Therefore, when you pray, be confident to expect an answer from Him, and walk in continual victory daily, and in every place.

Your highest calling as a Christian is fellowship with the Lord. Without fellowship, nothing you do on earth is esteemed in Heaven. To fellowship with Jesus is to fellowship with the fullest revelation of the essence of deity. But you see, you can’t fellowship with Him except through the Holy Spirit.

That’s why I often wonder why some people think they don’t need the Holy Spirit. There’s nothing more void than a life without the Holy Spirit, because He’s the author of life. Without Him, all you have will be darkness. He’s the One who gives you light and quickens the Word of God in your heart. God’s Word won’t mean anything to you without the insight and revelation the Holy Spirit gives.

The Bible says His words are life to those that find them (Proverbs 4:22); and the way to find them is through the Holy Spirit. Your desire should be to fellowship more with the Holy Spirit every day; I mean fellowship with participation, where you’re actively engaged with Him in a romance of righteousness.

The glorious thing about this is that, for all the successes that you achieve through the guidance and wisdom you receive as you fellowship with Him, He gives you the credit.

Another beautiful impact of your fellowship with Him is that you become so mingled with Him that your body becomes His body; your tongue becomes His tongue, your hands, His hands, and your feet, His feet. Hallelujah!

In this kind of relationship, every limit and barrier is taken off your way; you experience nothing but progress in life. You’re so full of His glory and wisdom that they overflow from you to others.

He takes over your life, and you experience unprecedented manifestations of His power that cause many to wonder at you. These and more are what fellowship with the Holy Spirit will bring to you. Praise God!

This means partnership, communication, oneness, unity, all of this and transportation. It says “… and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you….” The most important thing on earth is the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

He didn’t say the fellowship of the lord Jesus Christ, He didn’t say the fellowship of God, He says the fellowship of the Holy Spirit this means the Holy Spirit is here for us to relate with. Because Jesus is in heaven, the father is in heaven, it’s the Holy Spirit that is here. He is here so we talk to Him, we talk with Him, we have fellowship together with Him.

Don’t ignore the Holy Spirit. Don’t ignore His voice, there is frustration outside the Holy Spirit, life is frustrating outside the Holy Spirit. There are many Christians who are frustrated. They are frustrated at home, they are frustrated at their finances, they are frustrated on their job, they are frustrated in many areas in their lives, but they are Christians.

So, what is the reason for their frustration? They may pick on several things they may say this happened to me and that happened to me and have several reasons for their frustration, they are wrong! One reason they are frustrated is ignoring the Holy Spirit!

Think about it, the Holy Spirit knows what to do about everything. But when we ignore Him, we complain, we think someone else is our problem, we think well this is not working for me because so and so; so many times, we destroy our friendship and relationship because we think that other fellow is our problem; and they are not.

A Christian who knows the Holy Spirit never cares about what someone else did against him. Never! Nobody else could be a factor. The only factor to your success is the Holy Spirit. If you ignore Him, you will miss the best in life and you will struggle your way through if you ignore Him.
