My parents have been separated for over eight years. They parted ways because my mum took an opportunity to travel to the USA, but she refused to return home afterward even though the trip was supposed to be for only two weeks. She didn’t share her plans with anyone. I think when she got to the USA, she saw an opportunity to stay, and she just took it on impulse. I am not making an excuse for her but as far as I know, that was what led to the separation. My mother returned home two years later, and my dad refused to let her into the house. He said he had filed for divorce on grounds of desertion. Yet my mother never got served and they never got a court date. My siblings and I were in our twenties by this time. It really made no sense. Every attempt to discuss with our dad met with stiff resistance. Our mother was willing to apologize and return home but our dad never gave her the opportunity. That was where we were until the special prophetic service of January 1st. That day, after the service, my father was quiet for over an hour. When he spoke, he asked if we would invite our mother over for the family lunch that afternoon. We all changed our plans immediately. My mother moved back home that day – God sorted it out!
