Believers and The Illusion of Time

God said, “Let there be light, and there was light” (Immediately)
God said, “Let land be separated from water,” and land was separated from water. Immediately
God said, ‘Let David be king,’ and we are saying, ‘David cannot be king immediately.’
God said, ‘Let Jesus be Messiah,’ and we are saying, ‘Jesus cannot be Messiah immediately.’
Nature seems to comply with God in real time, and human seems to be suffering from a time lag in their reality
Christians seem determined to subject the word and instructions of God to human reality and the illusion of time.
God appointed a King in 1 Samuel 16; He raised a prophet to anoint this king
The same prophet informed the King on the throne that God had rejected him
But here we are arguing about events from a human historical perspective while ignoring the perspective that truly matters
This is why some of us would hear an instruction from God and choose to delay or even disobey such an instruction
Something no angel would dare
Something nature would never do
We somehow believe God must queue under the illusion of time, the way mankind does
A man and a woman started dating in 2010, and they were doing everything a couple does together, and even had children
They got married in 2020
According to human logic, it was 2020 that their marriage began to count
The previous ten years mean nothing
A married man and a married man were in a bad marriage
They separated in 2010 and stopped doing everything a couple does together in 2010
The wife filed for divorce in 2014
According to human logic, it was 2014 that their marriage ended officially
Under the human construct and reality, time is subject to officialdom and unofficialdom
The real time something happened is different from the official time something happened
We also subject God to this kind of interpretation of reality
Jesus was the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the whole world, right from creation
Men say that until he actually died, he was not the saviour of the world
Your reality is not God’s reality
You knew the moment you decided to walk out of that marriage was not the same time your partner knew, or that the whole world knew
You know that the moment you got pregnant is not the same moment your partner knew or that your doctor and relatives knew
You are the one under the illusion of time
God is not under the illusion of time
God said, “I have rejected Him as King.”
People argue that since Saul didn’t leave the throne at that moment, Saul still remained the King of Israel.
If Saul still remained King, why would God choose another King called David and even anoint him as King?
You are arguing that David was the “king in waiting.”
This would mean God’s word was not clear if we gave it another meaning to fit the reality we were trying to interpret
We all know that there is a lag between the moment we decide to resign from a job or move out of a house or propose to a lady and when we actually carry out these things.
There is a time lag between when somebody really dies and when the person is buried
A time lag between when you decided to travel abroad and when you eventually did
A time lag between making a decision and carrying out that decision
Time lag is a human reality; it has nothing to do with God.
It has nothing to do with angels, too
The realm of glory does not suffer from the trappings of human reality
As soon as God rejected Saul, the Spirit of God deserted him
There was no time lag
The moment David was anointed, the Spirit of God came upon Him
There was no time lag
David was the King, even though Saul was the figurehead on the throne
To argue from a human historical perspective after you have been brought into knowledge of true events behind the scenes seems to me like living in denial
David was the king when he killed Goliath
He was the King in the eyes of God
He was the King in the eyes of the angels of God
He was the king in my eyes
I see as God sees!
PS: The bible talks of space and time as actual facts of reality. But don’t think for a moment that they still aren’t some kind of illusion.
There is a vast distinction between perceptual reality and our conceptual frameworks or models of reality.
The simple reality about Reality is that it is a metaphysical/theoretical construct of the mind, which is also metaphysical in nature. If we knew what reality actually was, there would be no need for Science or Philosophy.
Ultimate Reality belongs to God alone and always will. All else is created. God is transcendent and is outside of time and space, but he is also immanent in time and space. God is eternal and infinite in nature. This means God doesn’t reside in eternity, but eternity resides in God.
Max Planck, the founder of Quantum Physics, claimed that matter doesn’t exist in reality. Put any piece of matter under a microscope, and it ultimately disappears into nothingness.
We cannot see subatomic particles. Plank was also a Christian. He rightly declared that consciousness doesn’t derive from matter, but matter derives from Consciousness.
There is obviously much more to this. But the one reality I know personally that isn’t an illusion is the reality of God. Jesus Christ is exactly who he claimed to be, which is God incarnate.
I would simply add that we would all agree on the foundational axiom that existence exists. But what actually exists and what existence actually is and means are philosophical ideas that are still debated and will always be debated simply because ultimate reality belongs to God alone and always will.
I should add a qualifier here. The Bible speaks of time and space as facts of reality. However, we are speaking of human experiential reality. Human experiential reality, while being real, isn’t the ultimate reality.
Ultimate Reality is eternal in nature. Hence, God alone is the ultimate reality, and all else is created. Yet Man is created in the eternal image of God and is going to partake in eternity since he was created in the eternal image of God.
After death, man will become fully aware of his own eternal consciousness. Unlike God, Man will reside in eternity because he is created in time, whereas eternity itself can only reside in God, who alone is eternal in nature.
