Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me (Psalm 138:7).
Too many people focus attention on their challenges and problems; they keep thinking about the challenges and hardships befalling them.
As a result, they’re always regretting yesterday and dreading tomorrow; a situation that robs them of today’s happiness. They continually fellowship with their problems.
But the Word says in Joshua 1:8, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
The Lord instructed Joshua, and the same principle applies today, to meditate on the Word, not your problems. Rather than waste precious time bemoaning the problem, focus on the power of God and efficacy of His Word to put you over and effect a change in that situation.
Jesus asked in Matthew 6:27 (AMP), “And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life?” Some people even think it’s fashionable to fret and worry.
If they’re not worrying, they’ll feel something is wrong; they must “worry” to be alive. If they don’t have something to worry about, they’ll help someone else worry. What a miserable way to live!
Learn to cast your cares upon the Lord; refuse to worry. When a problem or challenge tries to get your attention and cause you to worry, act on the Word.
Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Worrying doesn’t change anything; rather, it short-circuits the power of God and makes your faith ineffective.
So, refuse to worry. Rather, spend time to fellowship with the Lord; meditate on His love, goodness, mercy, and kindness, and He’ll perfect all that concerns you.
No problem has ever existed before its solution was born. Always remember this! I’ve often said that problems gravitate towards their solutions. If the seed of a solution is in you, then the problem will come looking for you. That’s why certain challenges find their way to you; it’s because you carry the answer within you.
The light of God is in our hearts. For God …commanded the light to shine out of darkness…” (2 Corinthians 4:6).
Can light come out of darkness? We all know that light and darkness don’t mix.
Yet the Bible says that God commanded the light to shine out of darkness.
Remember, the earth was a chaotic mass that was enveloped in complete darkness (Genesis 1:2). But at His command, God brought order to the maddening chaos, and light leapt out of the looming darkness.
As a child of God, you have received the same ability; you can call the light out of darkness.
2 Corinthians 4:7 says, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels…”
There’s a treasure in you; it’s a treasure of love, light, and divine perfection. God has shone in our hearts and given us the ability to bring light out of darkness. Therefore, make a change in your situation today.
There’s no problem too hard that you can’t solve, no situation is too hopeless that you can’t change.
If you feel pain in your body, for example, turn to where the pain is and say, “I command the healing to come out of this pain in Jesus’ Name.” Bring forth light from that darkness in your body.
The reason some Christians are full of regrets, suffer all kinds of problems, and even die is that they are ignorant of their inherent ability.
Joel 2:28 says, “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy…” These are the last days, and the Spirit has already been poured out.
If you find yourself in any predicament, prophesy your way out of it for God has given you the power to command light out of darkness.
You were born to be great because you’re the seed of Abraham. You’re more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37) and you can never be disadvantaged. No wonder the Bible says that all things work together for your good (Romans 8:28).
Just as Isaiah prophesied upon the children of Israel in Isaiah 61:7, I prophesy to you today; “For your shame, you shall have double; and for confusion you shall rejoice in your portion: Therefore, in your life, you shall possess the double: Everlasting joy shall be in your household.”
There may have been challenges you’ve faced in life; it’s because God ordained them for your victory and promotion. Don’t fear troubles and trials; they’re the springboard to your next and higher level of greatness and promotion.
The Bible says, “…Count it all joy when you go through diverse tests” (James 1:2). Why? It’s because your victory is assured.
So, when you face challenges, say, “Dear Lord, thank you; I was born for this!” The Word declares, “…all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).
This means you can never be disadvantaged.
This is the reality. 1 John 5:4 says, “whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.”
Anything born of God, whether it’s you, your words, your dreams, your vision, or your ideas, overcomes the world. 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
That means you’re born of Him, fashioned in victory, and programmed for success. You’re not a victim but a victor.
You’re the answer, the solution the world is looking for. You were born to win, to reign, and to manifest the glory of God. Romans 8:19 says, “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God,”; and that includes you.
