The Old Testament reveals that even the most anointed leaders, like Moses, struggled when they tried to walk alone. Though he carried immense power, Moses failed to raise others to his level of faith. As a result, when he was absent, Israel faltered because their confidence rested on him instead of on God. Leadership that does not multiply itself in others cannot last.

David, however, demonstrated a different model. He gathered men who were broken and defeated, and through shared challenges shaped them into mighty warriors. Together they grew in faith, loyalty, and strength. Unlike Moses’ solitary style, David’s team flourished and endured. The New Testament presents Jesus following the same principle. At the very start of His ministry, He chose disciples, investing deeply in them so that they could carry on His mission after His ascension.

The lesson is unmistakable: Christianity is not a journey meant for isolation. Strength, growth, and lasting impact come from building and running with others. True leadership is not about standing alone in greatness but about lifting others into greatness. A leader’s legacy is measured by how well their people are equipped, transformed, and able to advance the vision.
