And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:2).
Many aren’t as effective as they should be in their relationship with God, because they have a different mindset from the Word of God. The Word of God is given to us to mould and shape our character; to culture our lives.
There are some today who stir up arguments about how biblical instructions are outdated and how irrelevant the Scriptures are today. What a terrible way to think! The Bible is, and will always be, relevant. That’s because the Word of God transcends everything, including every human culture. The Word gives you the Kingdom culture; the Kingdom lifestyle.

Christianity isn’t a way of life, but surely produces a way of life. It shows you how to build Kingdom-consciousness. God’s Word, studied meditatively, will definitely help anyone imbibe a way of life that’s different from the rest of the world; a Christ-consciousness. Hallelujah!
If the ideologies of academic professors still mould you, your life will be in jeopardy. Get into the Scriptures and begin to study meditatively, asking the Holy Spirit to guide you and grant you insight and understanding. I’m not talking about merely leafing through the pages from Genesis to Revelation, just like the religious scholars who only taught maxims and didn’t have the Word in their spirit. That won’t do you much good.
Christianity
2 Corinthians 3:6 says, “…the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.” When the Word is in your spirit, it will produce in you the Kingdom culture. This is important for you as a Christian; otherwise, you’d be a “hybrid.” By that, I mean even though you’re born into a glorious spiritual kingdom and have the life and nature of God, your mentality and way of life will be like those of the world.
Our Kingdom is a real Kingdom that exists now. It’s a Kingdom that has a King and principles to live by. So, there’s a culture in this Kingdom. As you study the Scriptures, you consciously learn the way of life; the culture of the Kingdom of God. Hallelujah!

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified (Acts 20:32)

It doesn’t matter where you’ve been or what has happened to you; if you’d let the Word have the dominion in your life, you’ll walk in absolute victory in all circumstances.
In yielding to the dominion of the Word, there are certain fundamentals to note; these are knowledge, meditation, and faith proclamations.
First and foremost, you must know the Word, and let it guide your thoughts, words, and actions. In Hosea 4:6, God said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge….” He wasn’t talking about their lack of general knowledge, but the knowledge of the Word. Only your knowledge of the Word can guarantee your success, progress and prosperity. That’s why He wants you to study. Refuse to be ignorant; give yourself to the Word. John 8:32 says, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Secondly, you must meditate on the Word; keep it in your heart and in your mouth. Through meditation, the Word mingles with your spirit, producing in you the message it carries. Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Through meditation, you bring yourself under the influence and power of the Word; you’re transformed, and your spirit is energized for victory.
Lastly, be bold to make your faith proclamations. Believing what God says and confessing the same will change your life. When sickness or fear tries to attack you, respond by affirming what God has already said concerning you in His Word. Declare aloud, “I have the life of God in me! I’m more than a conqueror; I’m a victor in Christ Jesus! No weapon fashioned against me shall prosper, because I dwell in Christ!”
This is how you subject yourself to the dominion of God’s Word, to ensure its power is manifested in your life.
Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words (Daniel 10:12).
Prayer is a catalyst or spur for divine intervention. When you pray in alignment with God’s Word, you set spiritual forces in motion and connect earthly situations with heavenly responses. Through prayer, God’s purposes are activated and His will is established or caused to manifest in the earth.
A remarkable example of this truth is recorded in Daniel chapter 10. Daniel had been praying and fasting concerning the destiny of Israel. For twenty-one days he continued in prayer, unaware that from the very first day his words had already been heard in heaven. In response to his prayer, an angel was dispatched with the answer.
However, when the angel eventually appeared to Daniel, he explained that although the answer had been released from heaven, the very first day Daniel prayed, he had encountered resistance for twenty-one days from the powers of darkness led by the “prince of Persia.” This reveals an important spiritual reality: even when heaven has responded, there can be opposition in the spirit realm.
But Daniel’s persistence in prayer ensured that the divine purpose prevailed. The angel further explained that Michael, described as the prince assigned to Israel, came to assist in overcoming that resistance. This shows that angelic beings operate with divine assignments connected to nations and peoples, and their ministry often unfolds in response to God’s purposes and the prayers of His people.
At the same time, the Scriptures reveal that angels don’t override human responsibility. Israel had previously fallen into captivity because they had broken God’s covenant. Even though Michael was assigned to them, he couldn’t prevent the consequences of their disobedience.
But when the time of God’s promise arrived and Daniel aligned himself with the Word through prayer, divine intervention was activated. His prayers became the channel through which God’s purpose for Israel began to unfold. This shows the power of prayer that is rooted in the Word.
Therefore, prayer isn’t a routine but a participation in divine purpose: your opportunity to enforce God’s will in the earth. When you have this knowledge and understanding about prayer, you don’t wait for change; you bring it into manifestation. This makes you an active agent through whom divine purposes are established and fulfilled.
