Something happened a few years ago in Oyo State.

The governor bought all the forms for elective positions as he usually does and started shopping fir his loyalists in the state who desire to contest fot elections and would be willing to work for him to get reelected.

He got many people but he didnt get anybody from a particular area of Oyo State.
He called an old friend, a female and asked her if she knows anybody from that area.
The friend was from that area but she lived in America and was not interested in politics

The friend called around and was given the name of a man who could run for house of representatives
The friend then reached out to her younger brother who lived in Lagos (A teacher) and asked him to go see the governor, get the form and deliver it to the person she had discussed with.

The younger brother, went to the governor’s office, got the form, went home, filled it with his own name and took it to the ward level in that area of Oyo State where he presented himself to the people there as the governor’s candidate

It was there that he was given a membership card and other party registration items.
He needed money to campaign and all so that he can win and so that he can also deliver so the governor can win.

He didnt have money and he is a christian.
This area of Oyo State was heavily populated by muslims
He went to a strong muslim community in the town and struck a deal with their leaders.

Election came and he won.
The governor also won
He fulfilled his promise
He won a second term too!
