From Brother Gbenga
To my beloved brothers and Sisters in Nations and communities resisting Christ and the Gospel
In the tenth verse of the tenth chapter of St. John’s gospel, Jesus made a very remarkable statement. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.” The word ‘more abundantly’ here means ‘to the full’.
I want to focus on the second part where it says “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have life to the full.” This is Jesus’ purpose: He came to give life, His own kind of life. And that life is available to us in His name!
When Jesus spoke in this situation, He was talking about spiritual life, the life and nature of God; the life that only comes from God. “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have life to the full.” You can have that life today. All you have to do is receive that life into you by faith in His name. If you call the Name of Jesus, He’ll answer you, and you can have that life right now.
If you are reading this, just take a moment to confess your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ once more and invite the Holy Spirit into your life.
Say, “Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. I open up my heart and invite the Holy Spirit into my life right now. I declare that I am born of God and the life of God is active and alive inside of me. I am anointed and full of God. Glory be to Jesus. Amen”
To keep this eternal life and anointing burning in you, you must have an unblemished love for Jesus Christ – let Him become the focus of everything about your life; let the thought of Jesus dominate your mind continually, think about Him always — as a person — someone in whom you truly believe, trust, and love. Consciously think about Jesus, and you will experience a reality of His presence beyond what you thought possible.
After meditating on Christ constantly, pray in the Holy Spirit deliberately to stir up the gift of God and the power of God in you. Read the Bible daily. Read at least ten chapters before praying in the Spirit. You will feel the power of God moving mightily in you by this time. Please put this power to use by declaring blessings from the word of God upon your life, family, ministry, your loved ones, the fellowship, the church, the nation, and the world.
After doing this, learn to lay your hand on things that need to be set right in the name of Jesus.
If someone is sick, lay your hands and command the sickness to leave in the name of Jesus. Be a giving Christian and not one who is forever waiting for someone from somewhere to come and pray for him or her or to come and anoint him or her. You are anointed already. Use this power, and it will continue to grow.
Remember that situations and circumstances also obey the word of God. You can call forth the rain, and you can calm the rain. You can change the weather, you can control the elements, and alter the course of times and seasons. You have not received the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.
Think of electricity in a house. The wires are already carrying power, but if you don’t flip the switch, the light won’t come on. The power is present, but it needs to be activated.
In the same way, the Holy Spirit in you brings the power of God into your life, but the power only works when you acknowledge and declare it. You have eternal life in you, and that life gives you power over sickness, disease, and infirmities.
You have the power to cast out devils, heal sicknesses, and cure diseases. You’ve been empowered to live in victory and unending prosperity.
This power in you is activated by acknowledgement and declaration. If you don’t acknowledge it, it can’t work.
Sometimes, in a bid to sound humble, some people deny what they have. If, maybe, you said to them, “Oh, you really have power,” their typical response would be, “I don’t have any power; only Jesus has power.”
But they’re wrong. The same Jesus said in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Don’t deny what He gave you simply because you think you’re being humble. Acknowledge and affirm that Jesus gave you power to do the impossible—power over all things.
Think about it: He gave us the Holy Spirit to live in us. What do you think He’s doing inside you? Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, who brings the power of God into your life.
Acts 1:8 says, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you….” That means when you received the Holy Spirit, you received power.
Observe how Jesus spoke. He said, “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself” (John 5:26). Some people must have thought He was too proud for saying that, but He was declaring truth.
Doesn’t the Bible say, “…as he is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17)? Acknowledge and declare that you’re full of power. Let it be in the consciousness of your daily language. Like Prophet Micah, declare, “But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD…” (Micah 3:8).
That’s how you activate spiritual power. Talking this way will kill any tumour or disease that tries to rear its ugly head in your body. Glory to God!
Remember that one believer who is full of the Holy Spirit has already overcome the world. Let this assurance keep you from seeking strength in numbers and despairing when you cannot find anyone on your right or left to share your faith and fellowship with.
That season will change
You will grow
The anointing and power of God always cause growth and multiplication
As long as you are steadfast in your fellowship and walk in the supernatural, you will become a mighty nation in very little time.
I write this to you as an instruction from the Holy Spirit.
