What happened this morning was more than shocking. Our MD had given an ultimatum last month regarding every staff member meeting their financial target before June.

I had tried my best to sign on more clients with high net worth, but all my efforts had proved abortive. I got to the office today, and I saw the names on the notice board. Some staff members had brought in as much as one billion each, while some had brought in half a billion and so on.

My name was the last on the list, and there was a red line on top of the name indicating the relegation zone. I said, “I belong to Jesus; I will not be put to shame,” but I have been saying this for months. Suddenly, I heard brother Gbenga’s voice; the way he speaks in class is that if we don’t practise, we will be doing him a disservice.

So I said, “Today, I command high net-worth clients to come into this office, seek me out, and bring me deals that will shock everybody.” I went to my office and settled down to work; a few minutes later, two men came in to negotiate interest rates with me.

I told them how much we can do on a certain amount of deposit, and one of them said, “We have been offered the same rate at another financial institution, but my spirit is drawn to you, so we will work with you.” Guess what, family? The amount they brought in under my account is 22 billion Naira.

I have won the league on the leaderboard by the widest margin since 2019.
