I cry
I remember watching “Young Sheldon” recently AND WEEPING when they came to announce that his father had died.
All the men I know cry, too
They cry just the way ladies cry
With their mouths open, real tears streaming down their faces, original panting with mucus flying out of their noses
Ladies know men cry because they are the ones who make men cry the most
None has the monopoly of emotion between the two sexes
The problem, however, is this
What a lady can get away with by crying, a man will most likely not get away with the same

A local female actor was once arrested with Heroine in her tummy in this country (This is a crime worthy of jail)
She was charged to court
When she got to court, with all the evidence presented, which surely should send her to jail
She began to weep
The more the prosecutor presented his case, the louder she bawled
By the time the defence concluded their case, her eyes were all red, her voice was shaky, her body shivering, and her tears had joined the court to the Benue river as another channel.
The judge said, “She has shown remorse for her actions, and he set her free.”
The judge did not even consider the fact that she was an actor, and crying for an actor is basic 101.

Another actor, this time a male, was accused by another actress of alleged sexual molestation of a minor (This is a crime worthy of jail)
In the same Nigeria
He tried the same tactics that the other lady tried
He cried, he bawled, he wailed, he pleaded, he begged, and lamented with panting and mucus plus tears that formed a puddle pool
The judge said it was crocodile tears
The judge also said, given the gravity of his crime and the level of tears, he has come to the conclusion that this person was trying to deceive the court
He then sentenced him to five years in jail.

Men and women are not treated the same way when they cry by every society in this world.
Some ladies will run far away from a guy who wants to date them, who they know is prone to tears, the way they are
I mean…
A lady can begin to cry for no reason at all, the man is supposed to be sensitive and soft towards her at that time.
He must say things like “What’s the issue, baby? Why are you crying? Did I do something? Did I say something? Who hurt you? Who beat you? and so on
The lady may later reply, saying, “I was just into my feelings,” or “I remembered something that I read in primary school from NOEC.”

My daughter would sometimes lose out on a vote with her brothers.
“Where do you want us to have Sunday lunch today. Sheraton or Marriott?”
The boys might say Marriott, she might say Sheraton
Then I will say, “It’s two against one, Marriott, it is?”
One minute later, she would have started crying, and then all the men, minus her mum, would say, “Okay, let’s go to Sheraton.”
Her mum will say, “This is her being manipulative, and you guys capitulating to her. If you encourage it, she will use it as a tool all her life, and that is not going to be good for her down the road. So her mum overrules her, and we all then go with the decision of the Supreme Court Justice of our house, Justice MSW.”
If her mum is not there, surely we will go to the Sheraton.
The boys wouldn’t resort to tears to have their way simply because they were not wired that way.

One afternoon, I heard the fourteen-year-old crying as if someone had flogged him. I went to the living room and asked his siblings what was going on
They said, “His maths lesson teacher called him a lazy boy.”
I was like, “He is crying because his teacher said he is lazy?”
His siblings said “Yes”
I turned around and went back to my room
One shouldn’t mess with rare moments like that, I need the talking point when he starts arguing with me in the future.”
Something like “Daddy, I want to travel with my friends to Denmark.”
Me (Not wanting to pay) “You are a lazy boy.”
He starts crying, and I get to keep my money.
(Not sure it will work, but one can never tell how this crying mood works.)

I know ladies who can never stand being with a man who is so in touch with his feelings that he cries the way they cry.
You hear ladies say this often: “He cries like a girl.”
So we can banter all we want
Women cry,
Men cry, too.

On the issue of males having female besties
It is like every other relationship and friendship, some friendships turn sexual, some don’t, some turn sexual for a while and then progress beyond that, some have a friend who wants it to turn sexual while the other doesn’t.
Some will claim they are just friends for years, marry other folks, and then realise they were meant to be together as a couple
Life is all shades of different shades of every colour.
Just live and be a better version of yourself every day.

Finally, if you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, you have missed out on the most important friendship and relationship of them all. All your earthly relationships will end one way or another. This relationship with Jesus guarantees eternal life with eternal rewards both in this world and the Kingdom of heaven.
