Singled out for promotion

I testify that the Lord has brought me into a season of divine favour and grace by the power of the Holy Spirit. The latest appointments and shuffle in the system of the parastatal i worked for hit us like a tsunami. Many were retired and others had to resign as a result of the decisions made during the last administration. Some were even jailed. We were all put on notice and it was clear that many of us will not survive it. I am here to testify to the glory of God that out of all those in my department, i was the only one retained and offered a higher position than i had ever occupied before in all my years of service. I didn’t press any button, i had accepted the inevitable. Why was i singled out for promotion? I kept thinking about it and the lord reminded me of the word of prophecy that came last week about the Lord protecting someone’s career for a purpose. I knew my name was on that list and i knew my letter had been signed and the process initiated but the outcome was the opposite of what I expected. This can only be God. Glory!
