God has taken away my shame

I contracted HIV six years ago through some stupid decisions I made as a youth corper
It had redefined my life in many ways
Some say, nothing has to change, live your life normally, take your drugs and be happy
But you cannot stop the mind from unknowing what it knows and people from being careful around a live wire
I didn’t write it on my forehead, but I became aware of people in unhealthy ways after contracting it
My social life came to a halt, and I avoided people most of the time for fear of becoming stigmatised
I attended the last Tehilla Praise
Sat in a corner and just enjoyed the joyful atmosphere
Before then, i had been fellowshiping online and minding my lane
As the service was going on, Brother Gbenga walked round the hall and prayed for me
That was it
I fell under the power of the Holy Spirit
I didn’t really know the implication until a week later when i did a test and the HIV was gone
I didn’t believe it
I did another test in January, just to be sure
I was non-reactive

God has taken away my shame completely
