Would Jesus have saved Peter if he hadn’t cried out for help when he was attempting to walk on water? Because until he called on Jesus, he was already drowning.

Jesus would have saved him without him crying out. But he was sinking and not drowning.

He wouldn’t have drowned. Not at all. He fell for panic attack.

Many of us behave like Peter today, right in the middle of prayer, in God’s presence, we make a decision. I am trying an alternative, God is too slow

Yesterday, one of those who went to convention with us and heard the prophecy regarding promotion at work called me to say that she heard they were giving someone money at her place of work to get the position. Should she give the person too?

I said no

Today she said she has gotten the letter of promotion. Imagine she gave money yesterday? She would assume it was the money that made it happen and destroy the testimony. Or giving money would make the organization see her as lacking integrity and destroy the promotion.

That was Peter in the eye of the storm and panic instead of faith. Many of us can relate.

I know another, Sister Ife, a born again Christian who said because she couldn’t get a husband she decided to become an ifa priest. I asked her if she became an ifa priest and got pregnant, who will take the glory? She began to stammer.

A lot of people have faith for things and not for eternal life.

When the faith for things don’t pan out on time they then trade in their salvation. They say it is logical for God to give them what they want or they won’t serve him again.

Like my son saying he will disown me for not giving him an iPhone. Forgetting that it is impossible for a son to disown a father. A son can only go prodigal. A father is always a father.

So many cases of believers who fall for panic attack. When all they ought to say was Not my will but your will be done sir. That was what Jesus did, He handled it well.

I had a relative who had panic attack about poverty and threw all his eggs into money ritual. He died

If he had trusted in Jesus and stayed alive, he would have seen his children now. Doing great exploits. They would have been his wealth even if he didn’t make much money in his lifetime

Panic attacks are very expensive. Jesus asked Peter, why did you doubt?

What was the difference between Jesus saying “Take this cup away” and Peter taking his eyes away from Jesus?

Jesus was focused on the cup.
Peter was focused on the Lord.
Jesus took his eyes away from the cup and said Your will be done.
Peter took his eyes away from the Lord and saw nothing but despair and hopelessness. When you face a challenge, look at it and pray about it. Then take your eyes away from it.

It is not about God or the Lord Jesus. Don’t equate the two. You must get to the point where you can boldly say “Even if this problem does not solve” Hian!
