(2nd CHRONICLES 25:5-10)
There are people who CAN and WILL walk away from you.
When people walk away from you, LET THEM GO.
Don’t talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you.
Nobody deserves a Reluctant Partner:
HANG UP THAT PHONE AND GET SOME SELF RESPECT!
When people walk away from you let them walk: Your destiny is NEVER tied to anybody that left.
Scripture says, “They went OUT from us, but they were not of (FOR)us; for if they had been of (FOR)us, they would have continued WITH us. But they went out that they might be made manifest that none of them were of (FOR) us.” (1st John 2:19)
People leave you because they are NOT joined to you.
And if they are NOT joined to you, you can NEVER make them stay.
LET THEM GO!!!
And it doesn’t mean that they are bad people. It just means that their
part in YOUR story is over and you must KNOW when people’s part in your story is over so that you don’t keep trying to raise the dead.
YOU’VE GOT TO KNOW WHEN IT’S DEAD.
You’ve got to know when it’s OVER, folks.
Let me tell you something: I’ve got the Gift of GOOD-BYE: it’s the Tenth Spiritual Gift.
I believe in good-byes. It’s not that I’m HATEFUL, it’s that I’m FAITHFUL, and I KNOW whatever God means for me to have He’ll give it to me WITHOUT sweat.
Scripture says, “…They shall not clothe themselves with anything that causes SWEAT” (Ezekiel 44:18)
And if it makes you SWEAT, you don’t need it.
Stop BEGGING people to stay: Let them go!!!
If you are holding on to something that doesn’t belong to you and was never intended for your life, LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to past hurts and pains, LET IT GO!!!
If someone can’t treat you right, love you back, and see your worth, LET HIM/HER GO!!!
If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge, LET IT GO!!!
If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction, LET IT GO!!!
If you keep judging others to make yourself feel
better, LET IT GO!!!
If you’re stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him, LET IT GO!!!
If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship, LET IT GO!!!
If you keep trying to help people who won’t even try to help themselves, LET IT GO!!!
If you’re feeling depressed and stressed, LET IT GO!!!
If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself and God is saying “take your hands off of it, I got this!” Then you need to LET IT GO!!!
Let the PAST be the PAST: leave the dead bodies in the grave and STOP exhuming them!
Forget the FORMER things, God is doing a NEW thing!!! LET IT GO!!!
In the above Scripture, a King wanted to go to war. He had an army of 300,000 soldiers ready to prosecute the war and he also hired 100,000 mercenaries to join him. But a Prophet told him to go without the mercenaries: he would win WITHOUT them but would lose WITH them.
The King had no problem with the prophecy, but he had a problem: “what happens to the money I paid to hire the mercenaries? What happens to my INVESTMENTS?”
The Prophet responded, “The LORD is able to give you much MORE!”
The King followed the Prophet’s instruction and let go the mercenaries. He won the war without them.
One of the reasons we find it difficult to let go is because we feel we are too invested to back off. “I have spent money, time, emotion, effort on this! Shouldn’t I get something in return before I let go?
No, Sir.
No, Ma’am.
As the Prophet said, The LORD is able to give you much more than you lose when you let it/them go.
You will also win your war.
