Glory!!

Fam, the job I applied for, I was supposed to be interviewed by the research director. The day of the interview, I was interviewed by a different person. Sent an email to follow-up the director. For some reason, he was very open with me, told me his partner was diagnosed with a difficult diagnosis so he had to cancel.

I didn’t ask for permission to pray oh, I instead sent a prayer upfront, asking God for “encouraging news that would lighten the burden and inspire hope.” And then put a disclaimer at the end of the text “I’m sorry for not asking if you need a prayer/or are a Christian, please don’t be offended. This is just my way of showing support.” And he was like no worries, I appreciate.

I didn’t get the job but a three month contract instead. Resumed today and was following up. Turns out the diagnosis is a lymphoma with a stubborn prognosis. But the director was like:

“She’s in remission and we had a remission party yesterday and we were wondering, is it too soon to celebrate”

I was like “nope. You should celebrate all the way.”
